Wisconsin Lowers Car Insurance Rates

Car insurance coverage in Wisconsin just became cheaper, as the state recently reduced the state minimum car insurance requirements after passing a bill that axed the previously higher minimums introduced in 2009. Under the new legislature, the minimum car insurance coverage for liability and uninsured drivers will be reduced. In addition, car insurance coverage for underinsured drivers will once again become voluntary. The new car insurance coverage legislature will take effect in July of this year.

Taking Advantage of the Lowest Car Insurance Rates
Even with the reduction in mandatory car insurance coverage, it’s still a good idea for Wisconsin drivers to shop around for the lowest car insurance rates. No matter what the state minimum car insurance is, in the event that you’re involved in a car accident, it’s good to have adequate car insurance coverage to pay for material and physical damages to yourself and other parties. Underinsured motorist coverage is an especially useful type of insurance to have when state minimum rates go down, as the chances of being involved in an accident with another driver whose car insurance coverage isn’t sufficient to cover damages become relatively higher.
